🔐 White Jade Lock & Key Pendants I

We are releasing 4 of these Jade Lock & Key pendants that were custom carved for us. They come as a pair and are made from translucent icy white Jade. You can get them and share a pendant with a loved one!

You can choose between Sterling Silver or Gold-fill bails. The silver tends to be slightly larger in size but may vary depending on the size of the holes drilled into the Jade pendants. 

White Jade symbolizes clarity, healing, and spiritual purity.

A Jade lock typically represents protection, good fortune, and longevity in Chinese culture, symbolizing the "locking in" of positive energy and safeguarding against misfortune, often associated with the idea of securing blessings and good luck for the wearer; the "lock" design itself is a traditional symbol of safety and security. 

Jade is a highly valued and revered gemstone with a rich history and symbolism in various cultures around the world. It has been prized for its beauty, durability, and cultural significance for thousands of years. Jade dates back to 6000 BCE to the Neolithic period of Ancient China and was considered an “Imperial Gemstone”. During this time they used Jade to make ceremonial objects, carved decorations, and jewellery. Jade symbolizes: harmony, balance, integrity, longevity, and prosperity. 

We source all of this authentic Type A Jade from Dongcai, China from multi-generational Jade carving families who have been in the business for a very long time. 

• If you choose Sterling Silver it is 925 Sterling Silver used for the bails and tend come larger. 
  Gold-fill is 8-10 times thicker than plating and considers demi-fine jewellery and the bails are a bit smaller.
• Jade Key: 26mm x 11mm without bail. 
• Jade Lock: 14mm x 12mm without bail. 
• Jade is Type A which means it is not chemically altered or dyed. 
• Please, keep in mind the nature of crystals pearl, shell, wood, and bone is that they are one-of-a-kind and may have naturally formed imperfections. Contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
