Jade bangles hold deep cultural and symbolic significance in many Asian culture. They are often regarded as treasures that carry meanings of
protection, health, beauty, and good fortune. Their importance spans generations, reflecting rich traditions and beliefs:

  • Jade bangles are often passed down through families as heirlooms, symbolizing continuity, love, and familial bonds.
  • The act of gifting or inheriting a jade bangle is deeply meaningful, often representing blessings and well-wishes.
  • Jade bangles are commonly given during significant life milestones, such as a girl’s coming-of-age, engagement, marriage, or the birth of a child. These gifts symbolize blessings for a prosperous and harmonious future.

Our Jade bangles are sourced and cut by a third-generation Jade cutting family in Dongcai, China. We work with them closely to choose Guatemalan Jadeite that is unique to the COVEN aesthetic. We only use Type A Jadeite for our pieces which means that the Jade is natural and does not undergo bleaching, artificial dyes or other chemical treatments aside from polishing.
