This necklace is inspired by when I went to Deep Cove, BC and saw the largest Starfish I have ever seen in the depths of the ocean. This necklace draws upon all the hues of the landscapes in the area. The necklace can be worn 2 ways: toggle in the front or toggle at the back with a classic Pearl necklace as the focus.

Pearls are the June birthstone. They have long been associated with the moon and represent innocence, purity, faith, love, and balances emotions.
Jade is a highly valued and revered gemstone with a rich history and symbolism in various cultures around the world. It has been prized for its beauty, durability, and cultural significance for thousands of years. Jade dates back to 6000 BCE to the Neolithic period of Ancient China and was considered an “Imperial Gemstone”. During this time they used Jade to make ceremonial objects, carved decorations, and jewellery. Jade symbolizes: harmony, balance, integrity, longevity, and prosperity.
This Type A Jade in this necklace is sourced from the Dongcai, China from a second-generation Jade carving family.
- Necklace measures 17” (43cm).
- Grade AAA peacock Freshwater Pearls that measure 4mmx3mm.
- The toggle is gold-plated stainless steel that is tarnish resistant and lasts longer than average plating.
- The fine metal parts are gold-fill. Both are tarnish resistant and hypoallergenic for most skin types. Gold-fill is 8-10 times thicker than plating and considered demi-fine jewellery.
- Jade pendant is approximately 13mm and Type A grade that is natural and not chemically treated. Jade starfish has a hint of green on one side.
